The Honest Approach to Conversational Commerce

We're not here to hype you up with promises we can't keep. We're here to do the technical work that actually matters for ChatGPT Shopping.

Three Things Your Platform Won't Tell You About ChatGPT Shopping

1

Their Product Feeds Are Basic By Design

Shopify and WooCommerce can export product data, but it's intentionally limited. Why? Because the more control they give you, the more support requests they'll receive. Their business model depends on simplicity at scale, not on making your specific products shine in AI shopping results.

ChatGPT Shopping's feed specification includes many optional fields that improve matching—brand details, product categories, specifications, and more. Your platform's default export likely misses most of these. We populate everything that helps, not just the bare minimum.

2

Generic Optimisation Kills Your Brand Voice

Most feed optimisation tools want to rewrite your product descriptions into generic, keyword-stuffed content. That's because they're built for mass-market retailers who don't care about brand identity.

If you're an indie brand, your voice is your competitive advantage. Someone asking ChatGPT for recommendations wants authentic brands, not corporate speak. We enhance discoverability whilst maintaining what makes your descriptions uniquely yours.

3

You'll Need This When Other AI Shopping Platforms Launch

ChatGPT Shopping is just the beginning. Google, Amazon, and others are developing their own AI shopping assistants. They'll all require product feeds, but they won't all use the same format or fields.

We're building platform-agnostic. The feeds we generate work for ChatGPT Shopping today and can be adapted for whatever launches tomorrow. No rebuilding required, no starting from scratch.

How ChatGPT Shopping Actually Works

Let's be clear about the technical reality: ChatGPT Shopping doesn't read your website's HTML or schema markup. It reads a product feed—a structured file you submit to OpenAI.

This feed is similar to how Google Shopping works. You provide an RSS, Atom, or JSON file with your product information: IDs, titles, descriptions, prices, images, availability, and more. OpenAI's system crawls this feed regularly to update its product catalogue.

When someone asks ChatGPT for product recommendations, it searches its catalogue and suggests products based on the data in your feed. If your feed is incomplete, poorly formatted, or missing key details, your products won't match relevant queries.

Most platforms can export basic product data, but the default exports are rarely complete. Descriptions are too short. Optional fields are missing. Images don't meet requirements. Categories aren't mapped properly. And keeping the feed updated requires manual work.

That's where we come in. We handle the entire feed lifecycle, not just the initial setup.

Why We Built This

After working in e-commerce optimisation for over a decade, we kept seeing the same problem: indie brands getting left behind by tools built for big retailers.

When OpenAI announced ChatGPT Shopping in the US, we saw it happening again. Big platforms would get native integration support. Large retailers would hire agencies to optimise everything properly. Indie brands? They'd be handed basic export tools and told "good luck."

We decided to build something different. A platform that assumes you care about your brand identity. That explains what it's doing and why. That generates complete, well-formatted feeds without trying to upsell you on features you don't need.

No fluff. No false promises. Just proper feed management and honest communication about what's working and what isn't.

Our Principles

Transparency Over Marketing Speak

We'll tell you what we don't know. We'll explain the technical trade-offs. We won't promise results we can't guarantee. If something's uncertain, we'll say so.

Technical Depth Over Feature Bloat

We'd rather implement one thing properly than add ten half-baked features. Complete, well-formatted feeds matter more than a flashy dashboard with unnecessary bells and whistles.

Brand Voice Over Generic Optimisation

If your brand voice is unique, we'll preserve it. We don't believe in cookie-cutter content that makes every product sound the same. Your descriptions should sound like you, not a robot.

Platform Independence Over Vendor Lock-In

You should be able to export your feed and use it elsewhere. We're not here to trap you—we're here to help you prepare for the future, regardless of which platforms you ultimately choose.

Does This Sound Like You?

If you value honesty over hype, technical depth over feature bloat, and brand preservation over generic optimisation—we should talk.
